So this was my first time at Commerce Casino and it was an interesting experience. I get there at noon for the 1 o clock tourney thinking I was getting there early. As I go up the stairs I c that there are about 400ish people ahead of me in line. But I still figured I would get in with plenty of time. So I talk for a while with the guys in front of me nice guys made the time go by fast. Well it got to 1 o clock and I was no where near the front. About 1:30 I finally get registered with the alternate number of 416! They had just called the alternate number 56! So I still had a longgg ways to go. I play some blackjack and win bout 40 bucks. Then I get into the room and it was a massive field. Ended up being 1500+ people with a 139k 1st prize!! So two hours into the tournament at 3 o clock I finally get my seat. Sadly I have 3k in chips with blinds already at 100 200. So not much play left for me.
No surprise I sit down and am immediately in the BB! K5 of spades see a flop 866 almost! A round goes by and I have QQ utg. I raise to 700 the big stack calls on the button. Flop comes J75. I bet 800 and he folds was really hopin for an AJ or something for a quick double up. A few hands later I limp with KJ suited and then call a 500 raise since 3 others called. Flop 663 lame! Down to about 2500. So blinds go through me again with no hands the big stack limps utg and I shove 2200 with 66 and he folds up to 2700. Another round and I call a small all in with 108 suited no luck. Get down all the way to 1700 with 100 200 blinds and a 25 ante. I push in late position with J9 not wanting to get short. The bb insta calls and flips up AA. No luck for me.
Pretty upset right now was put in handcuffs from the start and needed a quick double up but oh well. Not sure when the next live tourney will be. Thanks for reading.

Gonna play the first event of the LA poker classic on Thursday afternoon. 340 buy in with a 200k prize pool. Pretty excited I'll post details when I get back.
Another huge final table that ended too soon
So my girlfriend comes into town today after 5 months in Hong Kong so I won't be playing poker ever again(jk babe) I decided to play alottttttt of poker last nite. I played in about 15 big tournament that ended up being just under half my bankroll (I've never been good at bankroll management). This is the biggest % of my bankroll I've ever played in one nite, but given the situation, I wasn't gonna be too bummed if I lost everything. And it looked like I mite. Didn't really cash in anything I played in just missed the cash in the 28k AQ
Ok so leading up to the money nothing too big had happened. I was fairly short the entire way never had over 20 big blinds after the first hour. With the blinds at 500 1k. I had 10k and need to make some moves. So when I picked up AQ I shipped it against the big stack's bb and he called with 99. Flop and turn blanks out river AAAAAA. Gotta win the races. But after the double up I get blinded down again. Gotta ship it in again. AK vs JJ same guy flp blanks turn AAAAAA. gotta win the races!
Still was struggling had about 25k blinds at 1k 2k. I reraise a guys all in with 99 he snap calls with A7?! flop A9A what a flopppp. I dodge some outs and I'm up to 55k. I get grinded down to about 40k blinds at 1.5k 3k. I get it all in with 77 vs A9. Flop QQ7! GOTTA WIN THE RACESS.
Ok so we get down to the final two tables. I've chipped up to 120k blinds at 2.5k 5k. I raise to 15k utg with QQ. BB reraises me 80k I insta shove he calls shows JJ! Flop AQ5!!! I'm up to 250k and all of a sudden I'm in the top 4. Well that didn't last long. I raise with A10 guy with same stack calls in the sb. Flop 1097 he checks to me I bet 37k he calls. Not really sure where I stand. turn is an ugly K. He checks. I shoulda checked, as I thought he might have had QJ or maybe even KQ trying to steal the river. I bet 50k he pushes I have to fold. Down to 137k. I fold 3 rounds in a row just no cards. Ship once weak and take blinds. I'm able to grind to the final table on the short stack. Blinds at 5k 10k I have 100k. I ship the 2nd hand of the final table with 1010 no callers. Then an orbit later I shove with 99. The sb calls shows KK. Flop 1087! river J!!!1 Gotta get lucky too lol. So a couple people get knocked out and I'm back on the push or shove stack. with the blinds at 6k 12k I shove with 85 off just b4 the button. Didnt' want to but blinds were going up next hand. Button insta shoves fuck! he shows AK. Flop 2K2 and I'm pretty much drawing dead. 7th place for 1535. Cashed out 1k. Makes it 3.1k in 2009. Not bad!
I'm pretty disappointed top 5 made 2.8k. At the same time, I had to get lucky a handful of times, so I can't really complain. I got an iron man freeroll on saturday, but other then that, probably gonna take a break for a while. I'll probably play a live tourney at the commerce when the LA poker classic comes to town in late January. Will post updates. Thanks for reading guys.
3rd bracelet in 2 weeks
Despite what has overall been a very frustrating few days, I shipped the same 10 buck tournamnet I won last week this one for 683 bucks. I'm quite certain that tommorow I'll once again be runnign the double deuce and the 750k. Will post updates if I do. Bankroll at 1250 bucks.
